MY STORY

My name is Mickael Crispin, I am 26 years old born in Fort De France, Martinique. I have been a competitive athlete most of my life, and I raced professionally for two years. I am a very calm and respectful person; in addition to cycling, I love nature, animals, motorcycles, and automotive sports.

Here is My Journey to the sport

I picked up my first bicycle at the age of 3, without training wheels, and by the age of 5, I was cycling with my father.

My dad was a competitor in mountain biking in Martinique, and still to this day does long-distance road and gravel rides. He RECENTLY completed his first Paris-Brest-Paris in 2023. We used to watch the Tour de France, mountain biking, and cyclocross in the winter, and that's how I developed a passion for cycling. I first started with mountain biking, then road cycling, then cyclocross.

At age 11, I dove head-first into the world of cyclocross, drawn in by the electrifying energy of the televised World Cup races. The sight of athletes battling through winter's toughest conditions – mud, snow, and all – ignited a fire within me that couldn't be extinguished. I'll never forget the thrill of those early rides, splattering through mud puddles, NOT A CARE IN THE WORLD.

My dad's words echoed in my mind: "Come back dirty; it means you gave it your all." And give it my all, I did. With every race, I embraced the challenge, relishing in the sheer joy of pushing my limits. The feeling of conquering each obstacle – from leaping over planks to scaling steep staircases – fueled my determination like nothing else.

And when victory finally came, in the form of my first French Championship title as a Junior, it was more than just a win. It was a validation of every early morning training session, every muddy mile ridden, every ounce of passion poured into my craft.

So here I stand, as a testament to the power of perseverance and the unwavering belief that with dedication and heart, anything is possible on and off the course.

I have my sights set on racing a full gravel season in 2024
